The Celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage
for couples from other
Catholic Traditions

The Evangelical Catholic Church welcomes the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage to all who come to us.  Because of the sacramental validity of our Orders, all Sacraments celebrated by the Evangelical Catholic Church are right and true.  This is also true for any Grants of Marital Dissolutions given by the Evangelical Catholic Church.

The Evangelical Catholic Church has always respected the rights and prerogatives of our sister Catholic jurisdictions.

Couples who identify themselves as active members of another Catholic jurisdiction must understand that if they wish to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage within the Evangelical Catholic Church, their home jurisdiction is not bound to recognize or honor the sacrament celebrated.  The same applies for Grants of Marital Dissolution given by the Evangelical Catholic Church.

If you have any questions about these jurisdiction distinctions, we will be happy to answer any of your questions.

We welcome the opportunity to celebrate your Vocation to the Sacrament of Marriage.
