The purpose the Annual National
Conference for the Evangelical Catholic Church is to "discuss and address matters of her needs." Canon 25.1
All members of this Church body
are invited to either participate or witness the work of the
National Conference.
When in session, the Presiding
Bishop shall sit as Presider of the Conference. All clergy
shall be seated as members of the House of Clergy, all Religious
shall be seated as members of the House of Religious, all laity who
are canonical members of this Church shall be seated as members of
the House of Laity and all Bishops shall be seated as members of the
House of Bishops.
When voting on a question before
the Conference, the members of each House shall cast their votes and
the majority from within each House shall determined its Yea or Nay
vote. A tied vote within any House shall be recorded as a Nay vote.
The Presiding Bishop shall cast
the deciding vote in the event of a tie between the four houses.
